Bill Arnold - President, McBride and District Chamber of Commerce

Message from the President:

The membership of the McBride and District Chamber of Commerce is a unique mix of people with diverse talents, experience and goals, working independently, but cooperatively for the betterment of the community as a whole.

We are, again, in changing and challenging times.  We can view these times in two different ways. We hold in one hand the lens of doom and gloom and in the other the lens of opportunity. It is our choice which one we put to our eye.

The Robson valley is on the main transportation route from Edmonton, and points east to Prince Rupert. People traveling that route, for the most part, view the Robson Valley as a place you pass through on your way to somewhere else.

It is the aim of the McBride and District Chamber of Commerce to work together to bring about a change in that view.  A change from ‘The Robson Valley as a place you pass through to “The Robson Valley as a place of respite (either short or long) which you enjoy before going on your way".

We are working help the traveling public as well as the local residents to share in the enjoyment of what this valley has to offer.
